  7. Generator/MacOS is a Sega Genesis/Megadrive emulator for the Macintosh.

Generator features fairly good compatibility with Genesis software. It also supports FM sound (music in most games), although PSG sound is not supported in this release. Generator can open ROMs compressed with Gzip without expanding them first. In addition, it can open both .SMD and .BIN formats.

Generator was initially developed by James Ponder for Unix and RISC-OS. Ports to other platforms are now available. The full source code to the original version is available at the Generator home page. Source code for the Macintosh version is not available at this time, although this *may* change in the future. (Do NOT e-mail me about this!).
